Before you buy

Which Macs does it run on?

Any Mac with Apple silicon (M1 or later) on macOS 26 or later. If your company hasn't moved to macOS 26 yet, check with your IT team first.

Is there a subscription?

No. You buy Kuroko once on the Mac App Store, and every update after that is free.

Permissions

Kuroko asks for a permission only when you first use the feature that needs it, and explains why before macOS shows its prompt. Saying no is fine: that feature stays off until you allow it.

To change a permission later, open System Settings → Privacy & Security, choose Camera, Accessibility or Automation, and turn Kuroko on or off.

Common questions

My customer can't see my drawings in the screen share.

Share your whole screen (your display), not a single window. Drawings appear over everything on your screen, so a share of just one window leaves them out.

My iPhone doesn't show up.

  1. Connect your iPhone with a cable. Mirroring doesn't use Wi-Fi.
  2. Unlock your iPhone. If it asks whether to trust this computer, tap Trust.
  3. Make sure Kuroko is allowed to use the camera (see Permissions above).
  4. Still nothing? Unplug the cable and plug it back in.

Jumping to a Space doesn't work.

Check that Kuroko has both Accessibility and Automation turned on in System Settings → Privacy & Security. Then try again.

Will my customer see my script, timer or Space names?

No. Kuroko keeps your teleprompter, your timer and your Space names out of screen shares and recordings. Your drawings and your iPhone stay visible, because those are meant for your audience.

Refunds

Apple handles every purchase on the Mac App Store, including refunds. You can ask for one at reportaproblem.apple.com.
